How to make a beautiful fabric storage cube by using an old diaper box

One thing I accumulate a lot of is diaper boxes. Here's a fun way to turn those boxes into a nicely covered storage cube for your room or home.

Here's what you'll need:
* Diaper box
* Mod Podge
* Sponge brush or larger paint brush

First I pushed down the two smaller top flaps and then the two larger flaps so they will stay down inside the box. You could cut them off but I feel this way is easier and gives you a smoother edge :-)

Then I measured all the way around the box. Mine was 45 inches. Your fabric might be just a little short like mine was but that's ok. You can cut an extra strip to cover the gap. I just made sure the gap was centered on the back of the box so it wouldn't be seen.

Measure the width of one of the sides of your box and add 2 inches so you will have an extra inch on either side to fold under the bottom and into the top. You can even add a few more inches if you wish to have the fabric fold down a little deeper into the box. Mine was 29 inches including the added 2 inches.

Next I cut my fabric 29 inches wide. This gave me a strip almost long enough to go around the entire box. For the gap left open in the back, I cut another fabric strip that was 4 inches wide and 29 inches long that way it would fit over both the edges of the main piece.

For this next step you may want to secure the fabric with tape just to keep it in place while you're applying the Mod Podge. Then generously brush Mod Podge over the entire fabric covered box. This is just like doing paper mâché. You want the fabric to be soaked entirely so it will harden and seal over the box.

Fold and smooth the fabric under the bottom and over the top of the box. Let dry or for faster results I used a blow dryer. The Mod Podge will dry clear. Now you have a beautiful new storage cube! :-)

Kendra's Cheesy Artichoke Dip

Every time I have people over for an occasion or something, I always get asked if I'm making my artichoke dip lol. So I figured I'd share this recipe so you all can make this tasty appetizer for your own gatherings and what not :-)

Here's what you'll need:

1 can quartered artichoke hearts
2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
1 small can chopped jalapeños
1 box cream cheese
1 cup mayonnaise

Chop up the artichoke hearts and mix them in a bowl with the cream cheese, mayo, jalapeños, and 1 cup of Parmesan cheese. Spread into an 8x8 pan and top with remaining cup of Parmesan. Cover and bake on 350• for 45 minutes. Uncover for the last 10 minutes to allow the top to brown.

I like to serve this with corn chips :-)

Enjoy!

How To Make Your Own Teeth Whitening Kit

Let’s face it – buying teeth whitening kits is expensive, and so is a cosmetics trip to the dentist! Why not get the same results (or as close to) at home with this DIY teeth whitening recipe!

Whitening Kit Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • dab of toothpaste
  • 1/2 teaspoon water
Mix together to create a paste. Brush like normal (but only do it once a week – doing more can erode the enamel). On off days, you can use your regular toothpaste. After you have achieved the desired whiteness, only use this recipe once every few months.

Whitening Mouth Rinse Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide
  • 1 teaspoon regular mouthwash
Swish in your mouth for about 30-60 seconds. Also only do this once a week, and after you have achieved the desired whiteness, only use this recipe once every few months.
